The word blog is a contraction of the term "web log." Blogs are websites that include regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, as well as photos, and videos. Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject, while others function as personal online diaries. My favorite characteristic of blogs is the ability for the readers to interact with the authors by leaving comments for all to read and respond to.The College Park News Blog will be maintained by the College Park News staff, focusing on Leadership Public Schools -- College Park. It will serve as a forum for the student-staff to post commentaries to and for readers to respond to; therefore both providing news and opening a dialog among the students, teachers, and administration of LPS -- College Park and equally as important the community at large.
